I blinked and we're now in August...what happened...

Have you ever started something then walked away and got busy doing other 'stuff'. Well that's what I have done and blow me down...the year has flashed past... I've realised I love collecting craft and visiting blogs for inspiration. There are so many talented individuals out there...truly amazing...but...that's not helping me blog and I've realised I need to 'just do it'.
I've been asked by the Missions team at my church to make cards to sell at our newly acquired outreach centre. Wow, what a privilege and then I think-woo hoo they must think my cards ok...nice feelings filter through...happy place for me lol

Anyway onto my card...I felt inspired to make a baby card with my newly acquired Nestie die.

LOVE

I scored the base card with my score pal; nestie die for polka dot paper; digi stamp by Anji's Antics, water coloured with Derwent pencils. Letters & numbers die from Tim Holtz and glossy accented...not very well by the looks...it's rustic  :-)

Anyway, happy crafting.

Cheers
Diane

Seriously, how does the time go? I think being on holidays can put you in a state of oblivion to the rest of the world sometimes. Thought I'd better get a riggle on and say hello. In two and a bit weeks and I'll be back at work amongst approx 650 students. I have to admit, I've been thinking of them these past few days, wondering how tall they've all grown over the summer holidays and what stories they've got to tell.
I hope life is treating you well...and remember...if life gives you lemons...turn them into lemonade...have a great day...  :)

Anyway onto my card. It's my God-Daughters 18th coming up, so instead of waiting til the last minute like I usually do lol, I'd actually shocked myself and got one done ready to post. See, miracles still do happen!

As always, I did some 'playing'...the flower is a Kaiser cling stamp. I fussy cut it, embossed with clear embossing and added a pink glittery flower sticker I bought at Big W of all places. I die cut the number 18 & used clear glossy accents...I do like my glossy's. The dragon flies I punched and added a bit of glitter, some look a bit overloaded, but never mind. If you count them, you'll find there's 18...I wonder if my God- Daughter will realise? The border punch is an  EK Success. The paper is Pebbles...Ever After. Thanks for taking the time to have a peek.  :)

The dawn of a new beginning...

Well hello out there in cyber world. After the initial shock of realising what I've done and thinking "ok, what happens now?"...I realise I need to do something about it, which means writing and posting and getting the word out there that I'm alive in blogger land. Slowly, slowly wins the race, so have patience with me :)
Who'd believe we're near the end of the first week of the new year...time waits for no man!!! As with most of society I have a few new year resolutions, and being a woman, naturally my number one is losing weight and getting on that treadmill that's been gathering dust lol. I will keep you posted.

I thought I'd post a couple of cards I have recently made...I am a work in progress and am learning all the time. My number one enemy in the past has been that negative voice that can be so loud in our head...BUT THAT'S NOT PERFECT...so  had got disheartened and have gone months before I picked up some paper or punch...but, I went to some scrapbooking classes..what fun they were!!! so have decided to take the bull by the horns and tell that voice to go ride a bike...life is too short and...does it matter if it's not perfect? I think not, plus it's heaps of fun and sssoooo theraputic :-) I would love to recieve a comment...onto this venture I go... Have a fantabulous day  :)

I made this for my wonderful Mum. The image is from LA PASHE. I cut out all elements, and 'popped' the flowers and leaves with scrap dots. Used my cuttlebug and did some embossing and added a bit of ribbon.

I made this card for my Brother In Law. The image is from CRAFT YOU PRINT. I cut out all elements and 'popped' various elements with scrap dots.

I did it...

Greetings to everyone out there in blogger land. I am a newbie to this blogger cyber world, but am glad I have had the courage to sign up. I am a dabbler of scrapbooking and card making & I'm a school Chaplain. I love to instill hope in the kids and school community...so I think I'll allow myself the right to follow my hearts leading when it comes to posts. I look forward to hearing from you as you join with me on this journey. Must get dinner...so chow for now  :-)
